ANZAC Day Poppy

ANZAC day is always a day of reflection for me.

Having not physically lost any member of my family to WW1 due to death, life was very different due to the decision that one member made, who never came back to NZ.

In WW2, family members served in the Pacific and through Maori relatives with the 28th Maori Battalion.

Since then my brother has been involved with Peace Keeping on two overseas tour of duty.

Tomorrow I will remember Uncle Reihana Rautahi, aged 95, who has recently gone to join the great many in the sky, having survived his injuries in WW2. Love you Uncle Rei.
