Teddy: spring turnout casualty or not

This was my son's teddy, taken everywhere, label worn away, seams threadbare. A source of much comfort some 27 years ago. I found him under a pile of size 12 clothes which are definitely going in the clear- out.

Teddy brings back the memories of cuddly times, memories of panic if we forgot him. My son was a fairly mellow character as a toddler. He cried at the swimming baths at the echoed noises of lockers being shut and once was inconsolable at Luton airport at the prospect of finally being reunited with teddy, left in the car for the holiday (by mistake).

Teddy can stay on my bed a while yet, out of the dark wardrobe whilst I ponder his fate. Should I keep him?
