First time .............

We saw herons nesting at Swell Wood Heronry in Somerset. This is a adult grey heron in full breeding plumage, I wonder if he has found a mate?

This is the first time I have used a bridge camera - photograph shot at 1000 mm with a Nikon Coolpix P510, it was my husband's camera...I think I will be doing some research and buying one for myself!!!
