On the Face of the Waters

I requested Flora Annie Steel's novel On the Face of the Waters from my library's storage facility. This particular copy was published in 1897. It arrived at the library today, and look how gorgeous the cover is! Beautiful design and beautiful use of color. I wish I didn't have to give it back!
