Attempted Robbery

I saw an osprey drop down to the water's surface as to grab a fish then fly toward me close to the surface. I tried to get focus on the bird, but the camera would not as I had accidentally pushed the button that switches between auto and manual focus. By the time I had corrected the situation, the osprey was passing by with a large fish and an eagle was in pursuit. The eagle was trying to get a free meal by getting the osprey to drop the fish. By the time I got an image of the two birds they were well past. The osprey had lost the fish and the eagle didn't have it, so both birds went away hungry.
