Fireworks over the RSC

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) held a firework display today to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the birth of William Shakespeare. It was due to start at ten thirty this evening, so after a beer in a town centre hostelry we, that is (LooseCanon, Technophobe, CoffeePotter and me) scurried down to the riverside to grab a good vantage place. After some meanderings in and around the theatre grounds we decided to position ourselves on Clopton Bridge, now a footbridge over the River Avon (it used to be a tram bridge running to Shipston-on-Stour) but that’s another story.

The display started with a tremendous crash and lasted for ten minutes or so and was superb.
