Torrential Rain and strong winds

This sums up today. flooding all over town, heavy rain with a driving wind. The drains have been rivers which had to be jumped in order to get back to the vehicle. Got home and the rain has driven in through the back door and the carpet is sopping wet. Thankfully we are getting a shelter built to stop this happening in the future, hopefully the heat pump will be able to get it dried out, I've got old towels stcked up aginst the door to stop further saturation. Well I am NOT going out again tonight!
