Aged for Thirty Years

Tomorrow is my 30th wedding anniversary. I cannot believe how the years have gone by.

I wanted to get my husband a special gift. I looked up the traditional gifts (pearls or diamonds) and realized, they weren't for him, though I'd be happy to get a pearl or a diamond.

I finally came up with and idea: 30 Year-old Scotch. I thought it was a great idea especially since we are going to Scotland this summer.

Given my "Great Idea," I didn't realize what a pricey proposition 30 years in a barrel could mean. The first spirits store I called quoted me $499. Finally, I found this Gladstone which turns out to be a blend but also in my price range.

Happy 30 years to my beloved.
