Queen Mary's it ain't....

Not a brilliant blip, but I started to build this doll's house in woodwork classes and it is still a project in the making. The only reason for this blip is that last night we were treated to a very interesting talk by Lucinda Lambton about Queen Mary's Dolls House which is on view at Windsor Castle. It was built for Queen Mary by Sir Edwin Lutyens between 1921 and 1924 and the detail is absolutely incredible. There are tiny portraits, monogrammed linen, miniature books donated by various authors and the most magnificent furniture. The slides were beautiful and I am now determined to see the real thing.
