onwards...

...and they thought they can kill our trip by burning some buses in the town...hah!
things are not good in the city...in their struggle towards getting a new state, a certain faction of local politics (and students) went on rampage in the city...stones were pelted, buses were burnt, public property was destroyed and life in general was distrupted...but tomorrow being christmas, they decided to take things easy and let the christians celebrate in peace...of course, they dont want to lose the Christian vote bank! anyway...after a lot of thoughts and discussions, we decided that we still will go ahead with our trip...now the plan is to take an alternate (and about 90 kms longer) route, cross the state border as early as possible tomorrow morning...once we are into the neighbouring state, there shouldn't be anything to worry...some folks had to drop out due to excessive resistance from the family...I dont really blame them...these people live in the part of the city that's most affected...
so tomorrow, if I don't blip, assume that the trip is on :)

now off to check and pack the essentials for tomorrow...I'm sure I'll forget something or the other!
