Tate Modern - Matisse Cutouts

Today's there were two main outings. The first was to the local park where David's South Bank Mosaics was running a mosaic workshop and lots of other volunteers were planting, digging, and painting. It was inspiring to see people enjoying themselves and improving the facilities at the same time. As we walked home we admired the new William Blake mosaics in Carlisle Lane.
The second outing was to the Tate Modern's Matisse Cutouts exhibition. I was really knocked out by these artworks. You can find most of the images online but, as is often the case, the actual work is far more impressive than most images reveal. Just the scale of some of the works is breathtaking. As you can perhaps tell I liked the exhibition and would warmly recommend it to anyone passing by!
