At the moment, a large part of my job involves looking at photos taken by volunteer civil defence teams in Syria. They vary, but overall they are horrific scenes of unimaginable destruction, grief, pain, loss and devastation, coupled with the unbelievable bravery of the people who are trying, against all odds and often under fire, to save others. Blip is a window into another world.
