Hawkmoth?

Found this guy on the floor this morning. He started vibrating his wings when i picked him up which, on the screen of my iphone, looked more like a slow jiggle. He flew off once he'd warmed up. Rubbish day experimentally, will probably cancel my retreat tomorrow to catch up :-/ got a nice free lunch today though with a really cool visiting speaker who works on mycorrhiza.
