Lem's Cameo

Halfdan Lem was a Norwegian born rhododendron hybridizer who has many magnificent plants to his name. One of my favorite rhododendrons of all time is one of his hybrids: Lem’s Cameo. A bit difficult to propagate, hence a bit rare to find, I bought my small plant in 1980. I have treasured and moved this plant with each new house and garden over the past 34 years and now it is 10 feet x 10 feet of magnificent bloom each spring. Bronze new foliage after the flowers is an added plus.
