OLD TREEBEARD

I'm a great lover of trees and I'm always looking at their form and figure and Laughed aloud when i saw the 'wart' on this tree. The warts I'm told are sought after by wood-turners for their gnarly grain and I'm sure this one would provide some of that. BUT believe it or not I did not put the leaf where the eye is -I swear I didnt!! which to me made it more remarkable - I wondered how many people noticed this as they wandered through the Christ church Botanic Gardens?
