May 1st on a terrace

World wide Labour Day is celebrated but not in Holland, not a day off and apart from Socialists many aren't aware of Labour Day on May 1st.
Took to a terrace in Gouda where others had done the same, enjoying an hour in the sun.

in the backdrop is the Gouda Town Hall, a building from the 15th century realised in Gothic style. some more reading on Gouda the city from where Gouda cheese originates and Gouda syrup waffles and Gouda candles and pipes a.o. Its beautiful church Sint Jan (Saint John ) is the largest church in this country and it has a staint glass with 3 red Tudor roses ~ why?! Some believe there is a connection to Elisabeth I and Shakespeare with this glass.
