Red-crested pochard " Where's my breakfast"?

According to the RSPB these birds only occasionally come to the UK from the Continent. I was surprised to read that as there are several on the ponds in Bushy Park at the moment.
It was another dull morning in the park, however, the geese, ducks and jackdaws were pleased to see me.
On the way to the park I pick up the Metro from the station, and, this morning spotted this young man dossing down by the letter box. I'm certain he was not homeless. He was probably waiting for the first train out at 5.55am. I was going to use him for my Blip, but the Pochard won! Did I make the right choice?
