Over and over

I’m pretty sure Song Thrushes are nesting round about, as we see them such a lot at the moment. Here’s one that was in the tree singing and singing. They often repeat the same phrase over and over again, as if they liked it the first time and so do it a few more times.

Robert Browning wrote:

That's the wise thrush; he sings each song twice over,
Lest you should think he never could recapture
The first fine careless rapture!
