Leaving the week behind

Crossing the Delaware Memorial bridge on our way to New York, it feels like I'm leaving the week and the rain behind and crossing into the sunny weekend, breathing again. Today the late afternoon light made the green of the bridge pop against the intense blue sky. Or maybe I was just more aware of colors after 2 days of rain.
My friend and I are riding in the 5 Boro Bike Tour in New York on Sunday, 42 miles, 32,000 cyclists, one big fun adventure, We've done it for a few years now and still enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the view of 6th Avenue closed to car traffic and completely taken over by bikes. And if that sun joins the party, even better.
