Cheap thrills

Actually, it's a case of free thrills, and maybe a few laughs, because the first Saturday in May is Free Comic Book day, when publishers and comics retailers partner up to give freebies away. There was a queue of about 100 people at Forbidden Planet in Edinburgh today to claim goodies from the likes of DC and Marvel.

And even the odd kiddie in costume.
