Came across a sign outside Skipton today reading - 100% free park and ride using Vintage buses.

Always on the look-out for summat for nowt - we parked and rode to the Canal Basin in Skipton - where the Skipton Waterways Festival was being held.

An afternoon of free entertainment awaited - a jive band - tribal belly dancing - decorated barges - a selection of birds of prey - this owl amongst them - and other attractions. The festival continues until Monday evening - with different entertainment on each day

Owls are traditional thought to be wise - a bit like me then.
