A deserted Troon beach

What with one thing and another, which included a burst tyre on Gill's car*, by the time we hit the beach for a walk it was 5 o'clock in the afternoon.

There wasn't a puff of wind, the temperature was very pleasant and despite the clouds the light over the Firth of Clyde was amazing. Arran was as clear as I've ever seen it. Better biggified.

* Gill's husband, David, got the blame. We'd been to a garden centre near Coylton for lunch and David was driving, but he forgot he wasn't driving his wee smart car and hit a kerbstone, which burst the front tyre. Ouch!
