Baroque Backstreet in Carlsheaven

A bright and fresh day in May. We enjoyed it in a very quiet way. Willemien still will have another five weeks to leave her bruised finger out of action. So no digging in the new garden part. No carrying or rushing for this or that. No reorganizing of the garage mess. Finally there is really time to savour our stay outside on the little terrace with a coffee and look around. And after that we gently walked down and crossed the river into town.

Walking our way, making pictures where a flower, a tree, a street view drew our attention. Such a wonderful way of passing our Saturday morning. This is where we love to BE. You can see that in the ultimate red of Admirer’s peonies. You see it above where she walks through a classical Karlshafen back street towards the port square. And there we met our dear friend Gerlinde M. walking home with an old friend of hers. A lucky opportunity to make a nice chat.

Things friends should know after the months we hadn’t seen each other. As we laughed - G. told about a cabaret she attended in the Römer-winehouse yesterday night - down in the water ducks and a young heron were being chased by a vigilant swan. The partner sat brooding on a nest nearby. In our back in front of the winehouse a small market was being build up. For work of local artists to be exposed in the afternoon. Such an enjoyable morning down in the harbour town together.
