Camouflaged Lakeland Lamb

A chance to test our Lakeland navigation over a shorter middle distance brought us to Finsthwaite Hall near Newby Bridge. Lovely terrain requiring good compass technique as the course twisted and turned. Both of us enjoyed our runs and the still slightly overcast conditions were ideal for running.

We arrived early so I had a wander with the camera and spotted this lamb nestled down on some exposed rock. It took me some time to realise he was there as he melted into the background.

We then came back to Arnside and after a quick shower had another afternoon stroll up Arnside Knott and returned along the coast.

A perfect day polished off beautifully with an amazing meal at the Albion overlooking the Kent estuary. Life is good!
