Glasgow City Chambers
Today I was in Glasgow, rehearsing for an event associated with the Commonwealth Games. We spent most of our time in George Square, but spent some time in the City Chambers.
I don't think I had been in the City Chambers before. Built at the height of Glasgow's trading wealth, it is a magnificent Victorian building, and the centrepiece is the astonishing marble staircase. Reputedly one of the largest such structures in the world, I was kicking myself for not having an SLR with me... this, from my little point-and-shoot, is the best I could manage
PS - that's us 1/3 of the way through the year already!
