Birds and rocks

Technically this is not the best shot I've ever taken....... or seen.....but we spent a bit of time watching the cormorant, herring gulls and oyster catchers on the rocks, and ths was the best I could get. After I took this shot some boys came along the rocks, and decided to go as near to the cormorant as it would allow. They got prety close and I was ready with the camera for it to take flight, but it just dropped into the water!!!! Clever bird.

All this was down at Troon, we took a wee drive down there, not far from home, and had a good walk along the front and up on to the grassy cliff, from where we watched the birds.

Heading back to the car we stopped (as you do) at Betty's for a scone. However, she had had a busy Saturday and we were late in the afternoon and no scones left. She did, however, have a couple of slices of wonderfully tasting fruit cake, so that sufficed!

Home for an M&S £10 meal, rice, chicken etc. very nice indeed, with some stuffed mushrooms on the side, and some trifle to finish. And a glass of red!!!!

Good day all round. We thought of going to see 'Noah' tonight, but there is only one showing at 8.45 pm and we can't be bothered going out then. Old age, I guess!!!!

Happy Saturday to all my blipping friends!
