Bottle Bank

Actually it's a bottle grotto (or bott grott for short). This is at Westonbury Mill Water Gardens in Herefordshire. It's a fascinating place to visit and full of quirky objects or follies that the owner has built over the years, as well as gardens of moisture loving plants and a wild flower meadow running alongside Curly Brook (what a lovely name). This is the "sparkling grotto" and apart from a bit of brickwork and infill, it is made entirely of complete wine bottles. From the outside it looks a bit like an igloo, but go inside and it's brought to life by the sun shining through the glass. We had lunch with Jacqui and Terry today, whom we met on the slopes of the Dolomites in February. A lovely lovely relaxing day. Back home tomorrow.
