Petunia patagonica

Seen at the Alpine Garden Society show at Wymondham where I played my usual part driving the show computer, printing labels and entering results.

A great range of plants from around the world, brought here from around the UK. This little gem is only about 15mm across but one plant had over a hundred flowers. It's not widely grown as yet, but grown by Tim Lever from Aberconwy nursery in North Wales, it is in good hands. Paradoxically, just along the bench was Paris quadrifolia which can be found in Norfolk woodlands, a very catholic bunch these alpine gardeners.
