Date night mark 2

Nothing much happening this morning. Shaved the baby as she was getting thick and hot in this heat wave. Watched city edge out against the toffees. Keeps things interesting.

In the afternoon sorted out my office then we went to a friends BBQ to celebrate his last tour of duty for the marines in afghan. He showed me a pretty cool knife come knuckle duster combo he got off an Iraqi he worked with when he was there earlier. He made some kick ass ribs marinated in cherry coke for an aperitif to our date night (blipped).

This month (a new regular thing we are doing first sat of every month) we went to juniper and ivy in little Italy downtown. A trendy place we sat at the "chefs bar" overlooking the kitchens. A hive of activity it was great to see the attention to detail applied to every dish coming out of the kitchen. I had strip steak. Superb and even the fat was melt in the mouth. The wife had halibut which was equally as tasty. Washed down with a bottle of fizzy lambrusco and then strawberry shortbread for afters. Although that was a little too much of a hodge podge of flavors.
