Not Waving

Lido opened again on Monday after a long wait and this was the first opportunity to pick up where I left off. As it turns out it was more a lesson in humility - I suppose I should be pleased that I (eventually) did a 1.2k swim but the first 500m were very painful. In fact I stopped at 100, 200, 300 and 500. Having gone from swimming 2k without thinking at the end if last season it seems I have to retune myself a fair way yet.

I shouldn't be that suprised as last time I swam was September so there will be a big drop off.

Still it felt good to be in the water and as the rain fell it was good to be swimming again. And it even felt less cold this time around.
