Happy, happy, happy

Today we sailed on the Thistle, the only Thames sailing barge built in Scotland, built by William Hamilton & Co, of Port Glasgow, with a riveted iron hull, and is the oldest iron-hulled barge still sailing. She was completed in 1895, for a coal merchant of Battersea, and traded regularly from the Humber to the Thames.

Today, it's used as a training boat, team building & taking the family out into the Blackwater Estuary for a 21st birthday celebration. Great fun, great day, great boat.
