Fountain's Abbey Pub, Praed Street, London

This pub is named after the massive monastery in Ripon, Yorkshire, which is now a World Heritage Site.

Fountain's Abbey is a ruin now, it lasted from 1132 until Henry VIII knocked it down. In the film of The History Boys, the boys go and visit the ruins on a day trip.

The pub, though, was built in 1824 and is a pub in the grand Victorian style.
