After someone says "your problem, Mait, is that you are so opinionated", with hindsight it would have been better to reply "ah, narrow-minded-dogmatic-person, I think what you really mean to say is that my opinion, differs from yours". But instead, I smiled and suggested a change of subject.

I should have stayed at the first gathering rather than going to the long-arranged, drastically-under-attended gathering I ended up at.
