Miss Jekyll would not be pleased!

I planted a Gertrude Jekyll rose last year. It has made good growth and I'm looking forward to seeing it in bloom, but whilst weeding today I spotted that the buds are absolutely covered with aphids...and whitefly...and other beasties. I must do something before the eminent gardener turns in her grave! The curious thing is that there seem to be no ladybirds in that flower bed now to control them. I'm sure they were around a few weeks ago and both 7-Spot and Harlequin Ladybirds can be found in other parts of the garden.
