The Western Wall

Before 1967[1], people of Jewish belief were seen crying over the fact that they could not pray at The Western Wall safely or without the company of other Jews, coining the term The Wailing Wall. The Western Wall speaks to the fact that it is the only remaining piece of the the destroyed Second Temple; a piece of its western wall, or more technically a piece of the foundation of the western wall.

[1] After a group of paratroopers fought for the land which beforehand, with the rest of the Old City of Jerusalem, was purged from all Jews in 1947-'48 when a consortium of Arab States (Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, et al.) violently rejected a United Nations mandate to declare Jerusalem an international city with an Independent state of Israel to the west.

Constructive criticism is appreciated. Questions are welcome.
