Paramotor.

Today was the second day of the ”Only 2 fish”- ice fishing competition. The weather was great: sun was shining from the cloudless sky and there was almost none of wind.
People were happy and many got fish today. But only 3 fish counted, because others were under the legal size (many 10g fishes were catched). The winning fish was 204g, so not quite big either, but big enough to win snowmobile! In the competition is many prizes, and the rest of the prizes are raffled using the number of the bought tickets. Sadly we didn’t won anything, next time better luck!
During the competition, there were few paramotors flying in the sky. It looked like lots of fun! I’d like to try sometime but I’m pretty sure, if I got change I would chicken..
Before we got to the competition area, we had little problem… When we left from our cottage, our gasmeter was saying that we have enough gas. We tought, that we will even though buy more gas in the gas station what was located about in the middle of the competition and our cottage. Guess what? The station was closed! Well, the meter showd that there’s still just enough of gasoline to get in the gas station near competition. But we didn’t remember there were few road constructions with traffic lights… The meter started to decrease faster.. and just about 18km from Kilpisjärvi and the gas station, the meter showd that we could drive 10km more.. We didn’t want to take the risk that the tank goes empty (diesel car), so we drove to one “rest area”. So what shall we do now? I looked up a number to Kilpisjärvi taxi and asked if there someone could come pick us up. The lady in the phone said that she can bring gasoline for us! Yeah, now we’ll just wait for her.
Didn’t take long the taxi to arrive with 10leters of diesel. It was the cheapest diesel we’ve ever had, only 5,7€/liter……..
