Damsel In A Pink Dress

I got a lovely shot of a pied wagtail on the roof of our bungalow this morning, with a beak full of nesting material, against a purple leafed cherry tree. I have decided not to post it as I Blipped a bird yesterday.

Lots of bugs about today. I shot beetles, weevils, robber flies, butterflies, longhorn moths, scorpion flies and caterpillars.

I've got a soft spot for damsels and dragons. I think this is a female blue-tailed damselfly. They are found in a variety of colours. I love the pink tinge on newly unfurled field maple leaves.
