Mount Hooley Lodge

This is home for the next week!

We arrived in Alston at around 1pm after a beautiful drive down from Edinburgh. We weren't due at the lodge until 4pm so we had a walk round Alston then headed to the nearest pub for a pint or two until some of the rest of the family turned up and we could go up to the lodge.

Even the drive up to Mount Hooley Lodge is fairly spectacular and all the fields are full of lambs, but the lodge itself is amazing; lovely views and a great building. We all got straight into the hot tub and soaked up the sun. Then some dinner, then back in to the hot tub to watch the sun go down.
