Rothenburg ob der Tauber: Plönlein

My principal memory of visiting Rothenburg is of just how bitterly cold it was on that day.

The small medieval town and its walls are perfectly preserved. This photograph is of one of the town's most picturesque (and most photographed) sites. Each of the two roads lead to a town gate, and both gates were constructed in the early 13th century.

This photo was taken in March 1966, I have no record of its precise date and have thus had to make a guess.
