Unexpected crazy daisy

I'm sure this isn't a daisy but I'm not really sure what it is. It was found in a local conservationist's front garden so maybe it's a rare species! I've never seen one before anyway. Looks like the bees have been greedy for it, there's pollen everywhere!

Speaking of greedy bees I saw a huge empty bit of carapace that some ants were looting earlier in the back garden - it looked hornet shaped and sized. Hopefully I won't encounter one of those!

I've had a good day, scratched a dentist appointment off my todo list and just about finished yet another piece of course work - just one more to go and I'm free!
