Bluebell wood

I can't resist the wonderful tapestry created by the bluebells in the woods of Kilmun Arboretum - apart from the incredible blue (and I think I really mean unbelievable) of the newly-opened flowers, there is the blue-green of their foliage in total contrast to the yellow-green of the moss, and all the other shades of green in between.

And then there's the russet of last year's dead bracken, and poking through it (look very carefully) the question-marks of this year's ferns as they emerge with their customary swiftness to obliterate everything else by the time summer comes.
