Best foot forward

New exterior banners being installed at the City Art Centre this morning for an exhibition, A Capital View, which opens on Saturday 10 May. The exhibition traces the growth and development of the city as seen through the eyes of painters, printmakers and sculptors. It also includes portraits of the people who lived and worked in the city throughout this period from leading civic figures and landowners to porters and street traders.

To instal these banners two guys abseil their way down and rope the 10m banners in place. Not an easy job and you certainly need a head for heights but the views from up there are quite good.
