Sustenance

This little Marigold colored cottage is a source of sustenance in our little community. The cafe is owned by Guy who graduated from Culinary school and after owning a larger restaurant decided to buy this little cafe. He is open for breakfast and lunch, but it's his Home Delivered Dinners that are the true gem. He emails a menu on Thursday or Friday for the upcoming week. If interested, you email back with your choices (usually 4 or 5 to choose from as well as soup and some marinated meats ready for the grill) and on Tuesday they are delivered to your door. The meals are partially cooked and in baking tins, covered with preparation directions taped to the top of each one. You can order for 2 or 4 or probably more. They are extremely fairly priced ($15/2 or $20/4) and quite tasty. He cooks for us usually 2-3 nights a week. Tonight it will be Shrimp Primavera. Tomorrow Chicken Parmigiana with ziti.

The cafe is very eclectic with mismatched chairs and tables and dishes of all sorts. The omelets are awesome and the home fries are among the best! He also makes much of the bread for toast or sandwiches. There is a latte machine. Off to the right in the photo is the river and there is a mini-balcony with 2 tables overlooking it.

"Cooking is like love, it should be entered into with abandon or not at all"
