Leith Shore

Unusually, spent the evening in Leith. The Group tries to have a dinner together at least once a year and this year we chose a restaurant in Leith. I could hardly miss the opportunity, though I was pretty much stuck with standing on the bridge outside the restaurant itself. In one direction there were no boats and in the other direction...well, obviously...boats.

As an aside, I'm always puzzled by how badly we do waterfronts and riverfronts in Scotland. Leith is not too bad, but what a huge opportunity is missed in Glasgow. In any other city, the Clyde would be a thriving, bustling riverfront. Why not here?
