Leaving Lochranza

A superb meal last night at the Sannox Bay Hotel - highly recommended. These 'godwit capers' remind me that we heard a lot of cuckoos yesterday, saw lots of common sandpipers and saw rock pipkt too.
After a breakfast featuring Stornoway black pudding we are out early to walk an 18 mile day to Blackwaterfoot. CMC will be tackling the day on a cup of hot steam as she is not really a breakfast hand.
The sky looks rather ominous, Day 3 and we are yet to see blue sky. Here's hoping.......
