Lock Keeper's House, Grand Union Canal, Lapworth

Several barrel-roofed cottages can be seen on the canalside between Stratford-upon-Avon and Lapworth. This cottage is alongside an old section of canal that re-opened in 1995 to provide a route between the Stratford and Grand Union canals. The roof is the same shape as the arches of many of the bridges along the canal as the 'Navvies' who built the bridges also built the houses for the Lock Keepers. I have previously Blipped the one at Lowsonford which can be seen HERE.
