May 9 Alexandrovsky Gardens

Watched the fly past this morning. All roads were closed and plenty of police everywhere. See my granddaughter's blip! www.blipfoto.com/moscowshot . This afternoon oniondomes (another blipper!)and I went for a walk. These gardens are a memorial to the hero cities of WW2 and it seemed like everyone was laying flowers. At the far end is the flame for the tomb of the unknown soldier. Went through 2 airport type security gates to get there. The gardens were heaving with people.
