A walk of three edges

Set off over Strines in the rain this morning, more in hope than expectation. The forecast was, however, an improving one so we wasted a bit of time looking at things in outdoor shops we didn't need, then had a sausage butty. Headed towards Froggatt, and started our walk along White Edge in the last of a shower - we reasoned if we didn't get going we might just give up! The day improved thereafter, though it was a tad chilly and very windy... but no more rain. Heard skylarks and a cuckoo, breathed in the beautiful scent of bluebells, & enjoyed tea & cake at the Longshaw Centre before setting off back to the car via Froggatt and Curbar edges. Finished off the day with a meal at the Strines Inn - what's not to like?
