Scotland vs England

Thoroughly enjoyable day at the cricket after a morning watching the rain come down. Who'd have thought we'd ever see a strong English team playing Scotland at cricket at Manofield. Can't help but feel the Cricket Scotland missed a trick - they sold ~ 3000 tickets but suspect could have sold double that such was the interest in the game. Having said that great credit for both teams for playing and groundstaff for getting the pitch ready .
Went with my mates dad who saw Australia play here in 1948. Famously it was Bradman's last game and he got a duck. There were 20, 000 watching what was a 3 day game - he remembers temporary stands being erected on the hill where the water treatment works are ( in the back of this blip)
