Blackheath Day Inaugural Drumming Performance!

This evening marked the first performance of our African Drumming Group. I couldn't decide who to blip - our lovely Lisa who I work and drum with, or her very good friend Matt who is the most accomplished drummer and comes along not only to help pull us together, but also because he just loves to drum. At any rate, we were a little concerned as we weren't overly rehearsed (that's putting it mildly), but it's such a joyful thing, the audience were great and we all had a great time.

Our wonderful teacher John was fabulous tonight, really pulling the audience into it. It will, however, be a while before I forgive him inviting making me get up and do a dance solo unrehearsed and completely out of the blue whilst playing the shakers.

P.S. These two off to a Eurovision party. We were all dressed up of course, but they were a little more outlandish than the rest of us. (both equally outlandish in the bottom half)
